about me

I’m a holistic psychotherapist, specialising in developmental trauma, anxiety disorder, ADHD management, and people who feel “stuck and lost”.

I decided to open my own private practice because I don’t believe the standard CBT offered by the NHS works well for 95% of people. It’s one-size-fits-all and designed only to get you back to work quickly.

My work isn’t about making you “fit in” to a broken system—it’s about helping you
gain the tools and the courage to challenge your life circumstances and thrive despite them. I am primarily trained in Humanistic Counselling and CBT, and my practice is informed by various other disciplines – IFS, Somatic Therapy, and Existential Psychotherapy.

about therapy

A contemporary armchair and footstool in a minimalistic room with sunlight streaming through large windows.

Therapy is designed to help you with what we call “problems with living”. It should be a safe and completely non-judgmental space where you can talk about anything.

I believe therapy should acknowledge the societal and economic factors that shape mental health, offering a space for deep healing and self-discovery.

faqs

What kind of therapy do you offer?

I provide a collaborative, client-centered approach that acknowledges the impact of society, capitalism, and systemic issues on mental health. My work is grounded in understanding your lived experience, rather than just diagnosing and “fixing” you.

I’m trained in multiple modalities; the kind of therapy we will depend on you and your needs. There is no “one size fits all” and so I may integrate (where appropriate) humanistic, CBT, mindfulness, existential, and somatic therapy.

What issues can you help with?

I know it may sound broad, but I am trained to help clients through what we call “problems with living“. This covers anxiety disorders, stress, depression, confidence & self-esteem, jealousy, relationship issues, people pleasing, grief, ADHD-related stress, eating disorders, and so on.

Please reach out if you have some specific issue or diagnosis; I will help you find the help you need, even if I have to refer you on.

How many sessions of therapy do I need?

Since everyone is unique, it’s difficult to determine the exact number of sessions needed without first having a deeper conversation about your individual circumstances.

For short-term, goal-focused therapy addressing a specific issue, most people find that 6 to 18 sessions are sufficient.

For more deep-rooted, long-standing, or complex challenges, longer-term psychotherapy—ranging from several months to a year or more—may be more beneficial.

Do you offer online therapy?

Yes.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is a conversation, not an assessment. It’s a chance for us to get to know each other, explore what’s bringing you to therapy, and see if we’re a good fit. There’s no pressure or obligation—just a space for you to tell me what’s going on and what you’re looking for.

What if I don’t feel therapy is working for me?

That’s completely okay. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. If you ever feel like my approach isn’t right for you, we can discuss adjustments or I can help you find another therapist who aligns with your needs. Your well-being is the priority.
